Surveying in the Hunter Valley for 20+ years
SEAM’s presence in the area has grown significantly since merging with Survey and Drafting Resources (SDR, previously Pegasus Technical) in 2023.
Today, the Singleton office has over 20 permanent and relief surveyors. Together with SEAM’s national footprint, the Hunter team can quickly mobilise local surveyors and experts from across Australia.
The Hunter team specialised in survey support for major energy projects throughout regional NSW, covering the entire project lifecycle – from initial boundary surveys and construction, through to operations and rehabilitation.
With expertise that extends to surface and underground resource projects, solar and wind initiatives, and power transmission networks, they’re also dedicated to establishing biodiversity offsets and restoration efforts to safeguard environmentally sensitive areas.

Martin is an expert in cadastral surveying, with 35 years of experience and a particular focus on complex mining and energy projects.
Previously a Director of SDR before its merger with SEAM, Martin has worked on major projects, predominately in the Hunter Region, for over 15 years.
Peter Sergeant
Area Manager
– Regional NSW
A surveyor of over 25 years, Peter specialises in mining and infrastructure surveying, as well as business development.
A Registered Land and Mining Surveyor, Peter provides clients with experienced consulting and support services – including relief surveyor management, cadastral and control surveys.
John Challinor
Survey Manager
– Hunter Valley
Known for his early adoption of RPAS for surveying, John brings 30 years of innovation and knowledge to projects.
Previously a Director of SDR – established in the Hunter Valley for 12 years – John leads our Singleton Open Cut, RPAS and remote bathymetric surveying teams.
